Joani Volschenk

Joani completed her honours in B.Com Charted Accountancy in 2009 at the North West University (NWU) – Potchefstroom Campus. She completed her articles in 2012 at Ernst & Young (EY). Joani specialised for two and a half years in Corporate Tax at EY. She completed her Master’s degree in Taxation (Financing South Africa’s National Health Insurance: The impact on the taxpayer) during 2014 at the NWU – Potchefstroom Campus. Joani became a senior lecturer on 1 June 2015 at NWU – Vaal Campus. She lectured Financial Management during 2015 and is currently teaching Taxation.

Joshua Chukwuere

Dr Joshua Chukwuere is a PhD holder in Information Systems, MCom in Computer Science and Information Systems from the North-West University. Joshua is a senior lecturer and the Head of Department of Information Systems (IS) in the School of Economic Sciences, Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (FEMS), North-West University, South Africa. Joshua is a researcher and have published number of articles in accredited journals, conference proceedings locally and international and book chapter.

Diteboho Xaba

I have published more 15 articles in the areas of optimization and financial econometrics. Furthermore, most of the students are have co-supervise (Masters Students) and supervise are conducting their studies in these two areas.  Currently, I am study my PhD in the very same area of financial econometrics using nonlinear models. 

 

Marissa Brouwers

Marissa Brouwers (PhD) is currently a Senior Lecturer of Work and Organisational Psychology at the North-West University in South Africa (PC). She is also the programme leader for Research at the School for Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management. Academically she has completed a Doctorate degree in the field of Industrial Psychology, specialising in the work-family interface.

Lisebo Tseane-Gumbi

Dr Lisebo Tseane-Gumbi completed her PhD in Geography at the University of South Africa (UNISA), her thesis focused on social responsibility of the tourism businesses in South Africa. She completed her M-Tech in Tourism Management at Cape Penninsula University of Technology (CPUT). She also obtained both her Tourism Management B-Tech and Diploma in Tourism Management at CPUT. She is currently employed as a senior lecturer at North West University (NWU), Mahikeng Campus, responsible for post graduates and undergraduates studies.

Olive Stumke

I have experience in lecturing accounting and auditing. I aim to involve students in such a way that they understand the topics being lectured rather than to memorise facts. In my quest to instil life-long learning, I do research on how to integrate basic IT skills in the core modules of Accountancy. 

 

Sonja Grater

Sonja Grater is an associate professor in the School of Economics at the North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus). She lectures undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of international trade, and also gained practical experience in the freight forwarding industry before joining the University.

 

Suretha van Wyk

Obtained my CA(SA) qualification in 1991. Completed my articles at PWC and after my Articles work at KPMG for 10 years as manager and then as senior manager. During my time at KPMG, I have gained valuable experience auditing big listed companies and Pension funds.

Gabila Nubong

Gabila Nubong is a political economist with a masters in economics and and PhD in international Relations. He is a senior lecturer at the School of Economics of the North West University,

 

David Dyason

David Dyason is a lecturer in Economics in the School of Economics at the North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus). He holds an MCom in Economics from the North-West University, which focused on manufacturing exports and transport costs from South Africa's secondary cities. David is currently busy with his PhD studies, which involve quantifying the economic impact of universities in South Africa.
