The Career Centre at the North-West University (NWU) recently hosted a campus work-readiness session on the Potchefstroom Campus.
Work-readiness sessions have become an integral part of the NWU’s goal to provide companies with the platform to highlight and provide information on job openings and the corporate culture.
The North-West University’s (NWU’s) People and Culture unit and Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) recently collaborated to host the launch of the university's first Women in Leadership Programme.
The programme launch, themed "How to thrive as an influential woman leader in higher education", took place at Vanderbijlpark Riverside Sun Hotel.
Golden Key Southern Africa recently held a ceremony at the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Vanderbijlpark Campus to recognise and welcome new Golden Key International Honour Society members. The event celebrated the achievements of more than 200 members who were inaugurated.

They were crowned during a beauty pageant hosted by the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Arts and Culture office on 12 August 2023.

The Arts and Culture office on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Mahikeng Campus recently hosted a Women’s Month celebration event themed “My sister’s keeper”.
The purpose of the event was to celebrate women and the importance of mental health. Discussions focused on the importance of therapy, self-love, sharing personal experiences on mental health, spirituality, self-confidence and taking charge.

The School of Nursing on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Mahikeng Campus recently extended a helping hand to the Legae Motheo orphanage situated in Seweding village.

The Faculty of Education at the North-West University’s Vanderbijlpark Campus officially launched the "Busy Bee Kindness Corner" community engagement project on 14 August.

River FM, the radio station on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Vanderbijlpark Campus, recently teamed up with energy drink company Red Bull to host a hip-hop talent show - Rap Rumble - at the campus student centre.
The talent show embodied the NWU’s diversity, and contestants showcased their various linguistics skills by rapping in Setswana, English, Afrikaans, and isiZulu.
North-West University (NWU) academic and professor in chemistry, Prof Lebo Seru, has praised the Department of Transport’s announcement that they will be embarking on a pioneering plan to reinforce collapsing roads in the North West province through the innovative application of nanotechnology.
The department has committed to launching a pilot programme that will harness the potential of nanotechnology to transform road construction, enhance road surfaces and curb water seepage.
