NWU rewards exceptional lecturers
The North-West University (NWU) celebrated the torchbearers of its teaching excellence during a virtual event. The best-of-the-best lecturers of 2020 were acknowledged for their work in taking teaching and learning to higher levels during the annual Teaching Excellence Award (TEA) ceremony, which was streamed online on 25 March.

Passing away of Prof Stephen de la Harpe
It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing away of Prof de la Harpe, the executive dean of the Faculty of Law, this morning, 18 February 2021, after being admitted to hospital in early January this year. He passed away as a result of Covid-19 related complications.

Three lecturers chosen as TAU fellows

It is a great honour to be selected by the TAU panel and confirms that the NWU’s academics have a well-deserved reputation for their expertise, hard work and dedication.
The three lecturers who have done the NWU proud are two senior lecturers of the Faculty of Law, Dr Allison Geduld and Dr Kesolofetse Lefenya, and Dr Teresa Hattingh, a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering.
