The North-West University (NWU) Varsity Football team, dubbed the noble boys of the tournament, did not disappoint as they delivered a solid and convincing 2-1 victory to their hopeful challengers, the University of Western Cape (UWC).

For the second year running, the team from NWU Vanderbijlpark finished their USSA campaign with a national second place ranking.
