The 2018 rendition of the Eureka School’s Special Sports Day for high support learners will see the Vanderbijlpark community join forces to ensure a fun-filled day for all the young participants. For the first time ever the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark will also join in the fun on 31 August 2018.

Accessing a number of the historic buildings on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) three campuses has been a problem over the years, since some of the buildings do not have a ramp or a lift to accommodate people living with disabilities.

The North-West University (NWU) boasts yet another vice-chancellor (VC) of a South African university among its alumni. Dr Chris Nhlapo recently took office as VC of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in Cape Town.

Ms Chiedza Tsvakirai, a lecturer in the subject group Agricultural Economics and Extension of the North-West University (NWU), recently represented South Africa in a Young Professionals and Students Case Study Competition in Argentina.

In accordance with the terms of an international Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the North-West University (NWU) and the Linnaeus University (LNU) in Sweden, several staff members, and students from both institutions of higher learning, will take part in a student/lecturer and research exchange collaboration programme.

Staff members at the School of Nursing Science, North-West University (NWU), Potchefstroom Campus have a close relationship with the Mother and Child health Coordinators Sr. Petro Swanepoel (Tlokwe sub-district) and Sr. Miemie van Jaarsveld (Matlosana sub-district). Part of the curriculum of the second year community nursing students’ includes health promotion and the management of sick children..
