Bodybuilders flex muscles at USSA

The bodybuilding team of the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark made their presence known at the recent University Sports South Africa (USSA) tournament in Secunda. For the second year running, the team from NWU Vanderbijlpark finished their USSA campaign with a national second place ranking.

International guest lecturer examines the science of sleeping

“Although sleep is vital for good health and optimum functioning, it is largely ignored by modern society.” This was the point of departure of Prof Ståle Pallesen from the University of Bergen in Norway, during his recent guest lecture hosted by the Optentia research focus area at the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark.
