Apply to study at the university you know and trust – #MyNWU

The North-West University (NWU) 2027 application season is open, and applications are coming in thick and fast. Since the opening of the application season on 1 June 2026, close to 20 000 prospective students have already submitted their applications.

Applications for selection courses will close on 30 June 2026 while applications for general courses and residences are scheduled to close on 31 August 2026.  Applications for postgraduate studies close on 30 November 2026.

Safety Management students gain hands-on industry exposure

Final-year Safety Management students from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Vanderbijlpark Campus recently participated in an immersive practical learning experience at the NWU’s Potchefstroom Campus as part of the BSMN 311: Managing Safety Incidents module.

The educational visit forms part of the NWU’s commitment to experiential learning, equipping students with industry-relevant skills and practical exposure that prepare them for the realities of the workplace.

The School of Communication at the NWU Vanderbijlpark Campus opened its doors recently to 21 aspiring journalists from Vaalpark High School, sparking a day of storytelling, discovery, and digital media in a rapidly changing world.
