Members of the Student Campus Council (SCC) on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng are leading by example by promoting academic excellence.
“All aspects of society are effected by law therefore we encourage interdisciplinary cooperation,” explains one of the most popular lecturers at the North-West University (NWU), René Koraan. That is why the Faculty of Law, in conjunction with the Faculty of Education, launched the Creative Arts and Law project.
When it comes to university athletics, the North-West University (NWU) is ranked as South Africa’s top track and field contender. During the recent USSA Athletics Championship that took place at the DP de Villiers Stadium in Sasolburg, the NWU took top honours with a medal tally of 33 (13 gold, 13 silver and seven bronze medals).
Adegboyega Taofeek Tope, a PhD student in the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences of the North-West University (NWU), received the first prize in two thematic areas for the best oral presentation during the 21st Symposium of the International Association of Research Scholars and Fellows (IARSAF).
