The new structure at the North-West University (NWU) is seeing colleagues from all three campuses meeting to get their action plans in order to get back to business: teaching, learning and research.

The academic procession on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark recently came together for a special ceremony to confer a PhD upon a proud Thadeus Marungudzi.

Since the inception of the CANSA Relay for Life movement in South Africa 12 years ago, scores of communities have mobilised in the fight against cancer. This year will see the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark play host, for the fifth consecutive year, to the regional rendition of the annual Relay for Life event.

Thanks to the innovative thinking and programming skills of Phumudzo Muvhango, retracing your steps and finding your misplaced keys have just become a lot easier.

The annual NWU Leadership Summit once again proved to be a very successful undertaking. Hosted on Thursday, 10 August 2017, the summit saw six of South Africa’s most brilliant business, private sector and entrepreneurial minds come together to share their expertise and experiences with delegates.

Being a gentleman isn’t a quirky personality trait. It is not an action you can turn on and off like a light switch. It is a lifestyle.

Did you know that women represent more than half of the 1,2 billion African population? Even more interesting is the fact that more than 50% of these women are under 25 years of age. Young women therefore represent the potential to rewrite the future of the continent.

It is once again time for the annual NWU Junior Basketball Tournament as hosted by the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark. This year will see teams from across South Africa taking to the basketball court from 28 to 30 July 2017.

The ladies basketball team of the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark proved their mettle on the court during the recent University Sport South Africa (USSA) Championships which took place in Stellenbosch. The team enjoyed a good run and achieved the third position overall.
