The future of the planet may not be as gloomy as many predict. A North-West University (NWU) researcher is doing her part to groom a new generation of eco-warriors armed with the knowledge and commitment to combat water scarcity and other challenges linked to climate change.

“My teacher loves me.” “My social worker is like my mother, she cares.” “My neighbour cares for me; he doesn’t want me to go hungry.”

It is the year 2000. The share price of a multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 company peaks at $90. Their recruitment strategy reads: Hire the best, fire the rest. At the time it seemed to work, only it didn’t. That company was Enron.

Dr Musawenkosi Saurombe, an academic and researcher from the North-West University (NWU), recently attended the Academy of World Business, Marketing and Management Development Conference from 16 to 20 July 2018 at the Mediterranean College in Athens, Greece.

The North-West University (NWU) will host various National Science Week (NSW) activities in Potchefstroom from 30 July to 4 August 2018.

“The ability to listen is essential for professionals and healthcare providers if they want to fully understand and support people living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. By listening, professionals will be able to distribute the right information in specific situations to better the lives of individuals living on the ASD spectrum.”

Refilwe Basimane, an alumna of the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng, has recently been awarded an international scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in nuclear science and technology at the Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

Research collaboration was on the agenda when leading scholars from Ghana, Nigeria and Zimbabwe visited the delivery site of the North-West University School of Business and Governance (NWU-SBG) in Mahikeng from 20 to 22 April 2017.
