Livhu is an Associate Professor in the School of Geo- and Spatial Sciences at North-West University in the Republic of South Africa. Livhuwani has been working in disaster risk reduction as an academic and a researcher since 2015. He holds a PhD in Public Management and Development from North-West University. The title of his thesis is “Integrating parallel structures for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in Southern Africa Development Community”.

I started my professional career as high school Mathematics teacher and have been involved with teacher training for the past 25 years. For the past 16 years I have been actively involved with the training of Information Technology teachers and have already published two books and several research outputs in this field.

I am the Director of the Research Focus Area Self-Directed Learning since 2014.

Kobus van der Walt joined the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education as lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies in 1990.  In 1993 he obtained a Ph.D.
