The management of the North-West University (NWU) is satisfied with the process of registering first-year students across its three campuses in Mahikeng, Potchefstroom and Vanderbijlpark. The first-year target for the 2019 academic year is 9 400, and up until today, more than 7 000 students have already registered. The university had received just over 52 000 applications for the 2019 academic year.
