The team of Enactus Vaal is ready to make 2018 one of this student body’s most memorable years to date. Not only has a new management team been elected, but the members also underwent intensive training in preparation for their term of office.

A university’s relationship with a student is certainly not over on graduation day. As an alumnus of a university, every student still has a role to play – years after writing that last exam.

During the recent October graduation ceremony of the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark, a group of 91 graduates crossed the stage to receive their degrees.

Gauteng MEC for Education, Mr Panyaza Lesufi, recently announced his plans to make Swallows FC great again by, among other measures, making shares in the club available to its supporters. Another part of his plan is to bring football mastermind Matome Kganakga on board as team manager.

This is according to Prof Keyan Tomaselli, a distinguished professor in the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Johannesburg and emeritus professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Lebogang Monyatsi, an alumna of the North-West University (NWU) made South Africa and the NWU proud when she was crowned first princess during the first ever Miss World Wheelchair pageant that was held on 7 October 2017 in Warsaw, Poland.

Prof Masood Khalique from the School of Mathematical Sciences on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng was an invited speaker at the III International Conference on Symmetries, Differential Equations and Applications (SDEA-III) that was held in August at the Istanbul Technical University in Turkey.
