Onalenna Leepile, a final-year BCom student from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng, is a young woman determined to make a difference.

Mr Tebogo Kupi, an academic and researcher from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng, recently attended a regional training course on nuclear safeguards and non-proliferation for the South African region in Centurion, Gauteng.

Six master’s students from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng will be on board the Phelophepa trains from 19 to 28 March 2018 to render clinical psychology services to community members in and around Ulundi in Kwazulu Natal.

South Africa has a shortfall of approximately 60 000 doctors in comparison to its peer countries. The North-West University (NWU) is looking into opening a school of medicine to help bridge this gap and to offer quality healthcare services to community members.
