The first term of the North-West University’s (NWU’s) vice-chancellor, Prof Dan Kgwadi, will come to an end in May 2020. His first term started on 1 April 2014. The NWU Council reappointed Prof Kgwadi for another four years as NWU vice-chancellor during its meeting on 21 November 2019.

FR Bezuidenhout, a senior commercialisation specialist at the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Technology Transfer and Innovation Support (TTIS) office, was recently awarded the Early Career Excellence in Innovation Management award by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) and the Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association (SARIMA).

The North-West University (NWU) installed Dr Anna Mokgokong, renowned business leader and entrepreneur, as its third chancellor during a prestigious event at the Feather Hill venue in Potchefstroom on 20 November. As chancellor she will serve as titular head of the NWU. All qualifications awarded by the university are formally conferred by the chancellor.
