On 18 August 2018 the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Student Representative Council hosted the inaugural Mr and Miss NWU pageant at the NWU’s campus in Mahikeng.

The North-West University’s (NWU’s) Faculty of Law, in partnership with South African legal publishing entity JUTA, hosted the annual Mock Trial Competition at the Mahikeng High Court.

If you thought that beauty pageants were just about high fashion and desirability, you have another thing coming. This year the North-West University (NWU) will host its inaugural unified beauty pageant with contestants from all three campuses taking to the catwalk.

The establishment of a Chair on Multimodal Learning and OER at the North-West University (NWU) was recently approved by UNESCO. There are currently only 737 UNESCO chairs worldwide, of which only 10 are in South Africa.

Accessing a number of the historic buildings on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) three campuses has been a problem over the years, since some of the buildings do not have a ramp or a lift to accommodate people living with disabilities.

The North-West University (NWU) boasts yet another vice-chancellor (VC) of a South African university among its alumni. Dr Chris Nhlapo recently took office as VC of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in Cape Town.

The exciting annual North-West University (NWU) mock trials, hosted by the Faculty of Law with the support of Juta, will take place on 17 and 18 August at the Mahikeng High Court.

The North-West University (NWU) is hosting a Gender Awareness Week from 2 to 8 August to promote widespread awareness of gender matters in the workplace, society and communities. The week-long event will consist of various workshops seminars, readings, exhibitions and even a music concert.
