Good! Better! Best! School of Language Education applauds achievers

The School of Language Education recently hosted its first-ever top achievers’ event on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark.

The event, which took on the form of a luncheon, saw more than 20 students receive recognition for their academic achievements throughout the year.

According to Dr Rhelda Krügel, senior lecturer within the subject group English for Education, the aim of the inaugural event was not only to award academic achievers but to motivate the students to continue to champion language excellence.

She continued to say that language educators play a fundamental role in all aspects of the learning cycle and as such these educators need to not only be highly skilled but also passionate about their calling.
