Franick and Winé – two peas in a graduating pod

Twins always attracts special attention, and it is no different when it comes to Franick and Winé Steyn. Fifteen years after starting Grade 1 together, the sisters recently celebrated their graduation achievements by proudly taking to the stage during the North-West University’s (NWU’s) autumn graduation ceremony in Vanderbijlpark.

What made their capping even more special is the fact that both the 22-old fraternal twins obtained their degrees with distinction.

Franick obtained a BCom degree in industrial psychology and human resource management, while Winé obtained a BCom degree in Chartered Accountancy. At present the sisters are enrolled for their postgraduate studies at the campus.

According to Winé there is a tongue-in-cheek prediction in their family that she and Franick will one day share an office space. “Our younger sister, Kisia (19) has a very good sense for business and so it is predicted that the three of us will venture into business together. Kisia as the business head, me as the bookkeeper and Franick as the HR manager,” explains Winé lightheartedly.

Until then, the twins look forward to yet again share in graduation bliss when they complete their current studies at the end of the year.
