More about the awards
The Mzansi Youth Awards represents a country-wide recognition and upliftment initiative that aims to up-skill, mentor, develop and promote the youth of Mzansi through long-term partnerships with the winners and the nominees.
What makes these awards unique is their approach. Instead of a once-off cash prize the winners are given resources, promotion, mentorship and are collaborated with for a duration of one year. The awards furthermore play a very important part in uniting the youth in a constructive and progressive manner.
The winners will be announced after a public SMS voting period, that will commence on 2 May.
A proud alumnus
Vincent holds a BSc degree in Business Mathematics and Informatics (BMI) from the NWU’s campus in Vanderbijlpark and is currently working as an internal auditor at Absa. According to Vincent there is no excuse for not achieving your dreams.
“As a young man with a disadvantaged background, I was made to believe that success will pass me by and that I would not amount to much. Today, after tasting success and experiencing continues growth, I know that anything is possible,” says Vincent who also served as a member of the campus’s Alumni Advisory Committee.
EP* refers to a musical recording labelled as an Experimental Project (EP). This recording introduces an audience to new music before the artist releases an official full length album.
