The trio – all students from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Vanderbijlpark – will attend the international conference from 27 to 30 July. The summit will see delegates from around the globe gather for three fun-filled days. The event will feature workshops, speakers, community service opportunities and more. A highlight of the event will be a presentation by Michael Crossland – one of Australia’s most sought after inspirational speakers. Michael has defied the odds of a life threatening cancer to build his life of exceptional achievements.
For Siboniso, a first time international traveller and current chairperson of the NWU Vanderbijlpark Golden Key Chapter, attending the summit “means the world”. “In attending the summit, I am literally seeing my hard work and dedication paying off,” says Siboniso and adds that the summit is not only aimed at book smart youth, but also at upcoming leaders and decision makers. “I can’t wait to share my experiences with my fellow students since it will in turn motivate them to make the most of opportunities such as this one. Together with Sphumelele and Kgomotso we will fly the NWU flag high.”
All three students are busy with their final year of study in BCom Economics and Risk Management, BA Industrial Psychology and Labour Relations and, BA Psychology and Sociology respectively.
