Mogomotsi Ntehelang, afternoon drive show presenter at NWUFM, the radio station on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Mahikeng Campus, has been nominated for the North West Media Awards in the Radio Presenter of the Year category.
The North-West University (NWU) is proud to announce that five of its esteemed women trailblazers have been named finalists in the Higher Education Resource Services South Africa (HERS-SA) Higher Education Women Leaders Awards (HEWLA).
The NWU finalists are Prof Linda du Plessis, Prof Marinda Neethling, Dr Keaobaka Seshoka, Dr Susan Greyling and Zanobia Kanjee.
The awards ceremony, set to take place on 29 August 2024 at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, celebrates the exceptional achievements of South African women in higher education.
The netball team on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Vanderbijilpark Campus, under the guidance of head coach Monique Meyer, is still brimming with pride after bringing home the gold and a slew of individual accolades from the University Sports South Africa netball tournament.
North-West University (NWU) alumnus Marelie Botha was recently honoured as the Emerging Psychologist of the Year at the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology of South Africa (SIOPSA) Presidential Merit Awards held at the Wanderers Club, Johannesburg.
SIOPSA is a member-based, non-profit organisation established to enhance the industrial and organisational psychology profession in South Africa. These awards are held annually in recognition and celebration of excellence in industrial and organisational psychology.
North-West University (NWU) academic Prof Olubukola Oluranti Babalola and student Sinenhlanhla Mthembu have been named finalists for the 2024 South African Women in Science Awards (SAWiSA).
These awards recognise outstanding contributions by women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Prof Babalola and Sinenhlanhla will join other distinguished women at the awards ceremony on 15 August in Mbombela.
