Much better news on the inflation front has continued to emerge with the July statistics, with a significant drop in the inflation rate from the June level.  

On 31 July and 1 and 2 August 2024, the Faculty of Law at the North-West University (NWU) hosted its annual Undergraduate Prestige Awards across the three university campuses. These awards celebrate the academic excellence and outstanding leadership of students, recognising their dedication to both scholarly pursuits and community service. 

Community engagement project leaders recently learned how to use the SenseMaker® platform effectively to not only capture and report their activities but also to measure the societal impact of their initiatives. 

Three information technology students from the North-West University (NWU), Tasmiyah Nakooda, Ulysses Makubika and Zaid Asvat, impressed Discovery so much during its annual GradHack Hackathon that they have been offered permanent employment.  

On the evening of 8 August, the North-West University (NWU) community gathered at D'vine Venue Hall for the annual Convocation Braai, a vibrant event marked by insightful discussions and a shared vision for the future.

In a tightly contested match, the North-West University (NWU) secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in a gripping encounter.

The game, which took place at NWU Mahikeng stadium, was a tale of two halves, with the NWU dominating the first and TUT mounting a strong challenge in the second.

Technology Transfer and Innovation Support (TTIS) at the North-West University (NWU) is dedicated to fostering innovation and protecting intellectual property (IP) in the academic community. To ensure that researchers and innovators are well-informed about the services and opportunities available to them, TTIS conducts IP awareness sessions across various faculties.

CFAM Technologies, a leading name in extrusion technology, has evolved remarkably from a university research project to a thriving industry player. Originating from North-West University's (NWU) School of Mechanical Engineering, CFAM Technologies’ journey from concept to commercialisation underscores the key role of NWU’s Technology Transfer and Innovation Support (TTIS).
