Jenique Botha, a 20-year-old North-West University (NWU) student, has been crowned Miss International South Africa 2023.
Universities South Africa (USAf) has appointed the principal and vice-chancellor of the North-West University (NWU), Prof Bismark Tyobeka, as chairperson of its Funding Strategy Group. He will also serve as a member of USAf’s executive committee (ExCo).
The North-West University (NWU) has shown great improvement in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings ― moving up in ranking position locally, in Africa and globally.
The NWU’s performance in these rankings has been consistent for the past five years and the latest results affirm the university’s position among the cream of the crop of local and international universities.

Representatives from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Education and Human Rights in Diversity (Edu-HRight) research unit, recently embarked on a visit to the University of Crete in Greece to strengthen the two institutions’ longstanding research partnership.

This significant role speaks volumes regarding Prof Kruger's capabilities as a sports psychologist and her remarkable track record of effectively restoring and preserving the mental health and well-being of competing sportsmen and -women across disciplines.
North-West University (NWU) alumni Anke Rothmann, Lebohang Raputsoe and Ané Oosthuysen secured a spot among the prestigious top 12 finalists in the Miss South Africa competition.
Anke, Lebohang and Ané will now compete with their fellow finalists to follow in the footsteps of Ndavi Nokeri, Miss South Africa 2022.The final event will take place on Sunday,13 August 2023, at the SunBet Arena in Time Square, Pretoria.

In June, South Africans celebrate Youth Month, but the harsh reality is there is often very little to celebrate, especially concerning current and future employment opportunities.
