NWU goes all out to boost its Meal-a-Day project

Several Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) students from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng made their way to the village of Moshana located 60 km outside Zeerust on 31 August 2017. Following their much-needed recent win against the University of Johannesburg (UJ) (putting them in third position on the 2017 Varsity Football tournament log), the North-West University’s (NWU’s) varsity football team is preparing to take on the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) on 7 September 2017 in their quest to seal their place in the semi-final.
The choir on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng took top honours during the regional competition of the Old Mutual Choir Festival that was held on 3 September 2017 at the Rustenburg Civic Centre.
After slipping four places on the 2017 Varsity Football tournament due to their two consecutive lost games against the University of Western Cape and the Central University of Technology, the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Varsity Football team clinched their much-anticipated victory against the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in the sixth round of the tournament.
Prof Lumkile Lalendle, the North-West University’s (NWU’s) executive director for student life, was inducted into the Golden Key Honour Society during its induction ceremony on 25 August 2017on the campus in Mahikeng.
