Institutions of higher learning are experimenting with new ways of teaching and learning and the North-West University (NWU) is no exception.

The School of Agriculture in the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) on 27 March 2018.

The organisers of the 2018 Ikateleng project are confident it will continue to bear fruit in communities. Ikateleng, a Setswana word which loosely translated means “empower yourself”, is a flagship project of North-West University (NWU) and agricultural group, NWK Limited.

Mr Bobby Moroe, an alumnus of the North-West University (NWU), is clearly rising up the “diplomatic ladder” and was appointed to serve for four years as South Africa’s deputy high commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria in December 2017.

Leo Maphosa, a member of the Student Campus Council (SCC) and third-year law student at the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng, scored big at the Faculty of Law Prestige awards. This event took place on 16 March 2018 at the Sanlam Auditorium on the campus in Potchefstroom.
