Dr Asiphe Mxalisa is a political analyst, scholar, and facilitator whose work sits at the intersection of higher education transformation, gender, Institutional power, Decolonisation and African democratic governance. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Politics and International Relations at North-West University and holds a PhD in Higher Education from Rhodes University. Her research explores narrative intersectionality and the gendered experiences of students in higher education, examining how power, identity, and institutional culture shape belonging and learning in post-#MustFall South Africa.
Beyond academia, Dr Mxalisa is the Founder and Executive Director of the Ukhozi Youth Development Programme, a grassroots initiative advancing educational access and leadership development in rural Eastern Cape communities. She is also a director at Evoke Research Primary Cooperative.
