Tekkie Tax Day has been part of the South African events calendar for the past four years and, this time around SA’s biggest and funkiest national fundraising campaign will see young and old perk up their tekkies with a pair of Tekkie Tag shoelaces or show their support by sporting a Tekkie Tax sticker. Staff and students from the North-West University’s (NWU) campus in Vanderbijlpark will join in the fun and by doing so support various welfare organisations across South Africa.
More than 250 welfare organisations participate in the national Tekkie Tax Day campaign and this year the organisers are hoping to add 100 more.
For a mere R10.00 you can get involved in a cause close to your heart and dedicate your time and money for a good cause. The Tekkie Tax Day campaign gives you the assurance that your sticker and/or shoelace donations will really have an impact on somebody’s life. There are five categories which you can support:
- Animals
- Bring Hope
- Children
- Disability
- Education
