Teboho dreams of JSE success and motivating others

Teboho Clement Makume is not your typical 23-year old. He is a man on a mission to not only fulfil his lifelong dream of trading on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) but, also to motivate up-and-coming entrepreneurs to achieve business success.

In pursuit of his dreams, Teboho recently published an e-book titled: “The ultraviolet dream”. The book is, according to Teboho, a combination between an autobiography and a self-help guide. In the book Teboho shares his views on how to practically harness the power of dreams and by doing so, achieve success. “In writing the book I had to bare my soul and in the process confront some very personal issues,” says Teboho and adds that he hopes that each reader can relate to his story – from where he started out as a young boy to where he is now; on the brink of adulthood.

Having completed his degree in Financial Accountancy at the Vanderbijlpark Campus of the North-West University (NWU Vaal), Teboho is currently enrolled – at his alma mater, for an honours degree in Chartered Accountancy (CA). “I have been dreaming about becoming a Chartered Accountant for so long as I can remember, and I can see myself climbing the corporate ladder to the top and serving as a Chief Executive Officer of a listed company,” says Teboho and adds that he also aspires to start his own investment company one day.  According to him he would like to be in a financially sound position in order to assist start-up entrepreneurs to find their feet in the business world.

Teboho completed his secondary schooling at Suncrest High School in Vanderbijlpark where he not only served as a member of the Representative Council of Learners (RCL), but also completed Grade-12 as the school’s best performing learner. During his undergraduate studies he was a member of the off-Campus residence, Faranani and later served as the Primarius of the postgraduate residence, Horizon.
