US-Israel attack on Iran expected to impact oil prices

South Africa must not underestimate the potential negative economic and business implications that could yet unfold for many economies as a result of the United States (US)-Israel attack on Iran.

Prof. Raymond Parsons, economist from the North-West University (NWU) Business School, says although it is still early days in the conflict, it is already evident that travel and tourism in the Middle East have been disrupted, with flights having been cancelled on a large scale.

Fake news alert: Unfounded and malicious allegations about Christianity at the NWU

Once again, the North-West University (NWU) must categorically refute and reject the falsehoods spread through voicemails regarding the status of Christianity across its campuses and facilities including residences. The latest voicemail that we have been alerted about is from someone informing a pastor by the name of Christo and the Bethuel Network. Previously, a ‘student’ named “Mira” distributed a similar voicemail in 2023 and 2025.

NWU opens 2026 academic year with renewed vision and purpose
