The North-West University (NWU) has once again confirmed its status as a leading and innovative university by obtaining international commendation for two master’s programmes within the Centre for Excellence in Nutrition (CEN).

In the second quarter of 2018, women accounted for 43,8% of the total workforce, but only 32% of all managers.

The management of the North-West University (NWU) is satisfied with the process of registering first-year students across its three campuses in Mahikeng, Potchefstroom and Vanderbijlpark. The first-year target for the 2019 academic year is 9 400, and up until today, more than 7 000 students have already registered. The university had received just over 52 000 applications for the 2019 academic year.

Like in the past, the North-West University (NWU) will again in 2019 be bursting at the seam with first-year students. Just over 52 000 applications were received for the 2019 academic year, of which just more than 16 600 prospective students were provisionally accepted.

The Sanlam Auditorium on the campus in Potchefstroom was buzzing with excitement as 500 researchers from the North-West University (NWU) attended the first Biennial Research and Innovation Conference.

During 2018 the North-West University (NWU) continued on its course of excellence and added numerous accolades to its already impressive trophy cabinet.
