Soccer Institute star joins Cape Town City FC

Heaven Prince Julius Sereetsi, a standout player from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Soccer Institute, has officially joined Premier Soccer League (PSL) Cape Town City FC after a two-week trial with the team.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder will be donning jersey no 33.

Throughout Heaven’s journey he showcased his exceptional skills in the Varsity Football tournament and the North West ABC Motsepe League, earning the title of Best Player in the latter last year. His contributions played a pivotal role in the success of the NWU team, securing them a spot in the playoffs.

Soccer Institute manager Vuyolwethu Sambo says the university is very proud of him.

“The NWU Soccer Institute takes pride in nurturing young talents and providing opportunities for student-athletes like Heaven to pursue both their sporting dreams and academic goals.

“The university's football programme stands out as one of the most successful in the country, and consistently produces top-quality players who ascend to the highest levels of the game,” adds Vuyolwethu.

Heaven says he is grateful for the support of his teammates, and that this achievement would not have been possible without their collective effort.

As an attacking winger, he is looking forward to bringing his skills and experience to Cape Town City FC, aiming to make a significant impact in the PSL.
