September is Biodiversity Month - discover the NWU's wild side!

As part of Biodiversity Month, the NWU is proud to unveil its biodiversity information booklet, "From Soil to Sky: Get to Know Your Campus". This guide showcases the rich and diverse ecosystems thriving across our three campuses.

From secretive hedgehogs and iconic springboks to critically endangered vultures and protected yellowwood trees, our campuses are home to an astonishing variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and rare plant species. Every record in this booklet was confirmed during a comprehensive ecological survey commissioned by the NWU's SHE Department between July and December 2024.

We encourage you to download the booklet. Explore what is living on our campuses and learn how we can help protect it.
