River FM, the radio station on the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Vanderbijlpark Campus, recently teamed up with energy drink company Red Bull to host a hip-hop talent show - Rap Rumble - at the campus student centre.
The talent show embodied the NWU’s diversity, and contestants showcased their various linguistics skills by rapping in Setswana, English, Afrikaans, and isiZulu.
According to Malebo Malatji, a River FM presenter and Mr NWU Vanderbijlpark Campus, the event was a huge success with a great turnout and high-calibre contestants.
“I have always wanted to witness such an event on campus that celebrates music, and seeing this brainchild come to life was a great experience,” adds Malebo.
Crib SA was announced as the winner.
