Prof. Ankit Katrodia’s academic visits advance scholarly research and collaboration

Prof. Ankit Katrodia, an associate professor at the North-West University’s (NWU’s) WorkWell Research Unit in the School of Management Sciences, recently concluded an extensive international academic tour spanning Vietnam, India, Dubai (UAE), Nepal and other global academic hubs.

These academic visits, conducted over the past two months, reflects his continued commitment to advancing scholarly research, fostering international collaboration and contributing to global academic discourse.

During this period, Prof. Katrodia actively participated in and presented research at several high-impact international conferences, served as a session chair at prestigious academic forums and delivered expert talks and guest lectures to postgraduate students and doctoral candidates across multiple countries. His engagements highlight the growing international presence and leadership of the NWU in management, sustainability and technological innovation research.

Prof. Katrodia presented multiple peer-reviewed research papers at renowned international conferences, addressing contemporary challenges in sustainability, digital transformation, organisational adaptability and consumer engagement.

This month, he co-authored and presented a paper titled “Sustainable development through the financial inclusion lens: Assessing the roles of digital economy, green technology, and trade” at the International Conference on Smart Technologies & Sustainable Innovation in Business Ecosystems, organised through collaboration between the NWU and Chandigarh University, India. The study offered valuable insights into how digitalisation and green technologies can enhance financial inclusion and sustainable economic growth.

Earlier this month, Prof. Katrodia presented “Challenges toward e-marketing faced in Bangladesh telecommunication firms” at the Nirma International Conference on Management (NICOM 2026), held at the Institute of Management, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, India. This research provided an empirical investigation into operational and strategic barriers in emerging-market telecom firms.

At the Eighth Emerging Research Paradigms in Business and Social Sciences (ERPBSS 2026) conference, hosted by Middlesex University Dubai Campus, he co-presented research on “Assessing organisational adaptability for sustainable technological transition”, focusing on learning management system implementation in higher education using structural equation modelling. The paper contributed to an understanding of how institutions can effectively manage technology-driven change.

In December 2025, Prof. Katrodia also presented research at the International Conference on Business and Finance at the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The paper, “Customer engagement in reverse logistics practices: An empirical study of the fashion apparel industry”, examined consumer participation in sustainable supply chain initiatives.

Beyond paper presentations, Prof. Katrodia played a significant leadership role as a session chair at several international conferences. He served as session chair at NICOM 2026 in India and at ERPBSS 2026 in Dubai, facilitating scholarly discussions and guiding academic dialogue among international researchers.

In December 2025, he was appointed session chair and resource person at the 14th Uniglobe International Management Conference on New Dimensions and Innovations in Business &

Technology in Nepal. His contributions underscored his standing as a trusted academic leader in the global management research community.

Prof. Katrodia also delivered several invited expert talks and guest lectures aimed at nurturing future academics, researchers and business leaders. In January 2026, he addressed MBA students at the Silver Oak Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, on “How to think like an entrepreneur in a traditional job market”, emphasising innovation, adaptability and entrepreneurial thinking.

In Nepal, he conducted a Global Research Excellence seminar for MBA students at Lincoln International College, Kathmandu, sharing insights into high-quality academic research and publication strategies. In addition, he delivered an expert session on PhD proposal structuring and thesis writing skills for doctoral candidates at Bhakt Kavi Narshi Mehta University, India, in December 2025.

Prof. Katrodia said his international engagements were part of a sustained effort to strengthen global academic networks, promote interdisciplinary research and enhance the international visibility of the NWU. He added that these contributions across conferences, leadership roles and expert sessions were in alignment with the strategic goals of the NWU of research excellence, global engagement and societal impact.

He said these international academic engagements provide a valuable platform to exchange knowledge, strengthen global research collaboration and contribute meaningfully to discussions on sustainability, digital transformation and management innovation.
