Prof Refilwe Phaswana-Mafuya, deputy vice-chancellor for research and innovation at the North-West University (NWU), would like to share the following message:
“I salute the women of the NWU for their valuable contributions to the university and our communities as we observe Women’s Month and recently celebrated Women’s Day.
I have always been passionate about the role of women in higher education. I am proud to say that our female staff and students continuously excel in their various fields of expertise. They deliver excellent research, guidance and work with great impact.
They are not only academic leaders, but also mothers and caregivers with vision and expertise that reach to the hearts and minds of society.
Thank you for being fearless women on a mission to make South Africa, and the world, a better place for all.”
