NWU staff recognised for their service to the North West Province

Two staff members of the North-West University (NWU) were recognised during the Bokone Bophirima Gospel Music Awards (BBGMA) that took place on 27 November 2021 at Glory Ministries International (GMI) in Potchefstroom.

NWU vice-chancellor Prof Dan Kgwadi received an award for his excellent service to the North West province through the university. Johan Zerwick from the NWU’s Language Directorate received a Community Empowerment award for his work in the community.

The BBGMA is a registered non-profit company founded by Dr Thapelo Donald Kgabage on 8 November 2019. In addition to recognising and supporting upcoming local gospel artists, the awards also recognise individuals who give back to the North West Province through community service.
