NWU Soccer Institute one game away to qualify for National ABC Motsepe League playoffs

The North-West University (NWU) Soccer Institute players, who are in the pole position of qualifying for the National ABC Motsepe League playoffs, are holding their breath for it will be the deciding game for the North West ABC league.

The institute, who is the log leader in stream B of the North West ABC Motsepe League, is scheduled to play one game against stream A log leader, Orbit College FC.

This game is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 2 June 2022 at the NWU Potchefstroom Campus’ Fanie du Toit sports grounds.

If the NWU Soccer Institute secures a win, they will qualify to take part in the national playoffs as North West Province winners.

NWU coach Karabo Masehela says his boys are ready to raise the NWU flag.

“It’s going to be a tough and very tactical game, but the team’s spirits are high. The boys and the NWU are looking forward to this,” he says.

The North West Province is set to host the 2021/22 ABC Motsepe League national playoffs in June 2022. The exact dates and venue will be confirmed.

The two finalists of the national playoffs will earn a promotion to the GladAfrica Championship.

Go NWU Eagles – we know you can do this!
