Dino Rangaka, physical trainer at the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Soccer Institute, recently received an invitation from PSL outfit Stellenbosch FC to hone his skills on physical training.
The training specifically focused on strength training and conditioning. “I went there to learn more about their tactical periodisation, their training loads and how they do their analysis,” says Dino.
During his training, Dino also assisted Stellenbosch FC’s head of performance, Ruan Rust, and Stellenbosch FC’s head of medical, Fanie de Klerk, at two games played during this time.
Dino says he also got a chance to work with professional players such as Judas Moseamedi, Junior Mendieta, Zitha Kwinika and Ashley du Preez.
“Stellenbosch FC is a professional set-up and I have learned a lot. I am looking forward to apply my new skills and knowledge at the Soccer Institute, assisting the team with their training load, tactical periodisation and improving the way of monitoring their fitness.”
Dino will be joining Stellenbosch FC later again for their pre-season preparations for the MTN8 Soccer Cup.
