NWU to equip the unemployed and graduates

With unemployment on the rise in South Africa, the School of Economic Sciences at the North-West University (NWU) is reaching out to all final-year students, graduates and unemployed graduates across South Africa.

On 22 July the school will be hosting a webinar titled “The realities of graduate employment” from 09:00 to 13:00.

During the webinar, various topics will be discussed. Dr Precious Mncayi, senior lecturer and economics programme leader at the School of Economic Sciences, will be talking about the reality of graduate unemployment in South Africa and will lead a social dialogue on graduate experiences.

Dr Suné Ferreira-Schenk, senior lecturer and risk management programme leader, together with some graduates, will discuss postgraduate opportunities, focusing on sharing experiences in masters and doctoral degrees.

Finally, alumni will talk about their experiences, and recruitment specialists will share tips on the importance of being job-ready, do’s and don’ts and much more.
