The North-West University’s (NWU’s) Career Centre recently appointed Mphinyana Nemasitoni as liaison officer on the campus in Mahikeng.
Mphinyana will manage and coordinate all career-related activities for students on the campus. He will also be responsible for engaging with stakeholders to ensure that students’ career needs are met.
He will also market the Career Centre’s services and products, and assist students with career services and possible opportunities.
Mphinyana says he is excited to be part of the Career Centre.
“I can’t wait to assist students on planning their future careers by closing the gaps between them, academics, stakeholders and employers. I am really looking forward to working and engaging with all my new colleagues and to promoting the Career Centre.”

Mphinyana holds a BA degree in media studies from the University of Venda.
He is an excellent communicator and events manager, and describes himself as a team player.
He was one of the group who led Enactus Univen to win the Enactus National Championship for the first time in history, and subsequently led the team to London in the United Kingdom to represent South Africa.
His previous positions include being an events coordinator for the G4Brothers Group and the SATMA Awards. He also worked at the University of Venda as assistant in the Department of Communications and Marketing, was the assistant marketing and brand manager for Enactus Univen, and was the media liaison practitioner for the Media Centre in the School of Humanities at the University of Venda.
