North-West University (NWU) alumnus Refiloe Mohono collaborated in establishing a shoe and foot care brand known as Complete Comfort.

This brand offers three sprays designed specifically for shoes and foot care.

The flagship product of Complete Comfort is a natural antifungal, antibacterial and antiseptic shoe and foot spray. It effectively reduces sweat, eliminates odours from shoes and feet, and treats nail fungus, foot diabetes and athlete's foot.

“Our footcare products are crafted from 100% natural ingredients and possess aromatherapeutic qualities,” adds Refiloe. She holds a BCom degree in sport and recreational management and a BComHons degree in entrepreneurship and marketing management, obtained at the NWU’s Vanderbijlpark Campus.

Refiloe and her business partner conseptualised the product idea in 2018. “We developed our initial prototype in 2019, and then, from 2020 to 2022, we collaborated with relevant experts to enhance the quality of our products and refine our branding. Currently, we are eagerly awaiting product testing to expand our market reach.”

Refiloe says initially she envisioned herself becoming a successful young businesswoman. However, upon finding it difficult to find employment after completing her studies, her focus shifted towards creating job opportunities.

“I was motivated to establish a small business that could not only benefit myself, but also provide job opportunities for others."
