This was announced during a function hosted by Inside Education and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) on 20 October in Johannesburg.
This annual event recognises young individuals – nominated by their peers and organisations – for giving their time and talent to make their communities, and also country, a better place to life.
This year’s 100 finalists were drawn from a pool of over 800 entries in various categories, including arts and culture, business, education, law, sports, etc.

He is also a SANABO-registered national coach and boxing referee.
He previously served as the treasurer of the Ngaka Modiri Molema Open Boxing Federation, was the provincial spokesperson of North West Boxing, and the secretary of the Referees and Judges Commission.
While he was a student at the NWU, he was the boxing team manager and chairman of the NWU Boxing Club.
Keorapetse scooped the NWU Best Official of year award in 2018 and 2019.
“Being selected as one of the 100 South African Shining Stars is proof to me that my involvement in promoting, enhancing, and developing sports in the North West province and beyond is being recognised. I am very grateful,” he says.
