NWU academic to speak at international Applied Dynamics System conference in China

Prof Masood Khalique from the North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng will be attending the 11th International Conference on Recent Advances in Applied Dynamical Systems, hosted by the Xi'an Jiaotong University in Xi’an, China from 8 to 11 June 2017.

Prof Khalique will present a paper entitled “Cnoidal and snoidal waves solutions and conservation laws of a generalized (2+1)-dimensional KdV equation”.

Topics that will be discussed during the conference will range from advances in all aspects of dynamical systems research, including differential/difference equations, bifurcation theory and chaos and applications to biology, economics, engineering, chemistry, fluid dynamics, neural networks, physics and other nonlinear sciences.

After the conference Prof Khalique will visit staff and postgraduate students of the Department of Mathematics in the School of Science of the Zhejiang Sci-Tech University in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, where he will give a presentation.

Later he will travel to the Department of Mathematics of the Huaqiao University in Quanzhou, China where he will present a short course on Modern Group Analysis.
