NWU academic selected for Ubuntu Dialogues Fellowship Exchange Programme

Dr Allison Geduld, an academic at the North-West University’s (NWU’s) Faculty of Law,  was recently selected to take part in the Ubuntu Dialogues Fellowship Exchange Programme.

Ubuntu Dialogues is an exchange project between Stellenbosch University and Michigan State University in the USA.

Funded by the Andrew W Mellon Foundation, this three-year project seeks to develop and support replicable frameworks for university museums in Africa and elsewhere.

The objective of this collaboration is to utilise academic and institutional spaces – such as museums – as dynamic sites for the co-creation and dissemination of knowledge and practice through local and international dialogues.

Dr Geduld says she is expected to make several contributions to the exchange programme. This will include webinars, publications and participating in a conference at Michigan State University – as and when the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted – to allow for physical encounters across continents, hopefully during the first half of 2023.
