NWU’s campus in Mahikeng hosts graduation ceremony

The North-West University’s (NWU’s) campus in Mahikeng hosted its autumn graduation ceremony from 2 to 4 May 2018, one of the 50 graduation ceremonies that will take place across the NWU throughout the year.

During the three days the university conferred a total of 2 012 degrees and 11 diplomas, and 124 students passed their degrees with distinctions.

Among the degrees conferred were 37 doctoral degrees.

In a written message to the graduates, Prof Dan Kgwadi, the vice-chancellor, congratulated each and every graduate:

“I trust that you had an exciting journey at the NWU. Today you are rewarded for your dedication and hard work. Please except my warmest congratulations. This is an important milestone in the development of your career – use it as a stepping stone to reach great heights.”

“For us as a university, it is also a special occasion. Though we will have 50 graduation ceremonies this year, we cherish each and every one. These events are a culmination of contributions made by many committed people at the NWU over many years. I also congratulate them on this achievement.”
