Join Cobuntu and fight Covid-19 through ubuntu.
The North-West University (NWU) and the North West Department of Health are joining hands with the private sector and individuals in the fight against the coronavirus, and we need your help!
Today, as we launch this Cobuntu initiative, we aim to give the public greater access to personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks and provide accurate health education, screened by a panel of NWU experts and available in Setswana, Afrikaans and English.
The NWU will help to predict the course of the virus in North West in order for the provincial government to spread resources optimally.
A centralised database will also be created to identify areas in which risks and symptoms are evident in order to coordinate crowd-sourcing solutions.
Through this initiative, we would like to determine the need for PPE in your area, and also to invite formal and informal manufacturers and suppliers of this equipment to get in touch with us.
Our experts are geared for this initiative and we are excited about the various collaborations. It will give us the opportunity to mobilise our supplies and expertise to make a significant impact in the province.
