Dr Veruschka Pelser-Carsten completed her PhD in the development of serious games and, together with other TELIT-SA members, is developing a serious game called F-EMS Incorporated.

This is a new venture for TELIT-SA and the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (NWU-Vanderbijlpark). Through simulated scenarios, the FEMS Inc game will aim to simulate the real business environment by developing a serious mobile game and simulators associated with various workplace scenarios. The focus of the mobile game will be to (i) model the integration of programme content, (ii) develop graduate attributes, (iii) simulate the business environment, and (iv) create an understanding of the different roles within a business environment. By creating this mobile game, students will be able to develop the necessary skills and experience required to function properly in a business environment.
