At just 22, Neo Nkhumane is making her presence known in academia and the world of pageantry. As a master's degree student in communication at the North-West University (NWU) and now a top 10 finalist in the Miss World South Africa pageant, Neo is a shining example of how dedication and ambition can bring success in multiple arenas.

Growing up in the close-knit town of Carletonville, Neo has always been driven by her passion for social change. Her project, “Beyond Borders”, embodies her commitment to empowering and uplifting her community. Neo's belief in using her platform to inspire positive change is evident in all her efforts.

Reaching the top 10 in the Miss World South Africa competition is a remarkable achievement for Neo, and she is honoured to be part of this journey. “It’s more than just a pageant for me,” she says. “This platform allows me to amplify my voice and the voices of those I strive to help through Beyond Borders.”

With the Miss World South Africa grand finale on 5 October at Sun City fast approaching, Neo is preparing to take the stage with grace and purpose. She is ready to showcase her talents, intelligence and vision as one of South Africa’s top 10 finalists, embodying the spirit of a true changemaker.
