Kurt Naicker, a senior lecturer and chartered accountant at the North-West University's (NWU) School of Accounting Sciences, recently shared his insights about how artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionising the South African landscape and shaping our future with postgraduate students from Kohinoor Business School in Mumbai, India.

Kurt was recently invited to speak at an event organised by the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (FEMS) at the Vanderbijlpark Campus for the delegation from the Kohinoor Business School. The lectures arranged for the occasion were well-attended by both staff and PhD students of the faulty S, making the event a big success.

Kurt shared his knowledge of AI and talked about its impact across various sectors. The audience was engaged during the presentation and asked thought-provoking questions about implementing AI in various industries.

Kurt said he was delighted with the opportunity to speak at the event and to be surrounded by a wealth of expertise.

"I gained valuable insights from the other speakers and attendees. It was a fantastic opportunity to network, exchange knowledge with peers and connect with like-minded individuals. I felt honoured and grateful for the chance to share my own thoughts and experiences with such a knowledgeable audience," he said.

Other presenters at the event included Prof S Ferreira, who spoke about South-African financial markets and institutions, Dr S Tatuskar from Kohinoor Business School, who presented on how to plan your finances, and Dr B Deshpande, also from Kohinoor Business School, who talked about different research methods.
