Prof. Henriëtte Valery Hammill is a senior lecturer and associate professor in Biokinetics in the School of Human Movement Sciences (HMS) in the Faculty of Health Sciences, within the sub-discipline of Biokinetics at the North-West University (NWU), Potchefstroom, South Africa. She has been active in teaching and learning since 2011, and obtained her PhD in 2013 in the biomechanics of the golf swing and has since been involved in various related research projects, with fields of interest namely orthopaedics, biomechanics, injuries, sport and rehabilitation. She has already successfully supervised five master’s students and is currently supervising six master students and two PhD students. Prof. Hammill is involved in many collaboration projects and has a number of projects herself. She currently has more than 30 published articles in accredited journals with one chapter in a book and many conference proceedings, including some research awards. Prof. Hammill has also written various manuals for teaching and learning purposes and is a member of selected governing bodies. Furthermore, Prof. Hammill is happily married to Reece Hammill and is blessed with two wonderful children.
